Amateur Radio Exam Help

In order to get your Technician Class License, you DO NOT NEED MORSE CODE!  You only need to pass a 35 question exam; and ALL OF THE QUESTIONS ARE KNOWN BEFOREHAND!  They are from a 'pool' of multiple choice questions that are readily available on the internet.

With many thanks to Bruce Spratling, W8BBS, for his Technician Class Study Guide and to Frank Vogel, DL9VF, for his 'Trainer" program, we have for you the following downloads to help you get licensed and operating in very little time!

Bruce Spratling's Study Guide can be read in about 2 hours and contains all of the information you need to pass your exam.  Much has been said about Bruce's work and can be viewed here (http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/4132).  Bruce's web site is http://www.geocities.com/w8bbs/ and his study guide can be downloaded from his web site or here:

Bruce Spratling's Study Guide for Technician Class

After downloading the PDF file, just print out pages 4 thru 14, 33 and 34 to begin your studies.

When you've read all of the information, (and yes, even a six year-old can do this!!!), then you can either practice with the 'printed' versions that Bruce has included in his guide, or you can download Frank Vogel's program to practice on your computer!

Frank Vogel's web site is http://www.qsl.net/dl9vf/ and his "Trainer" program can be downloaded from his web site or here:

** Updated for 2006**  Technician Class Question Pool for use with Frank's "Trainer" program **Updated for 2006**

(Right click on this link and save target as tech.txt - you will be renaming it from tech.AAA)

Download both items, putting them into the same folder on your hard drive, and then run 'trainer.exe' from there.

Have Fun!!
